Full Stack PHP Developer


Salary £30,000 - £60,000 – Paddington, London


This thriving London based local service online company (New start-up) are looking to recruit a Full Stack PHP Developer who has a wealth of experience in new features, bug fixes and improvements. The new team member will hold a key role within the business and be responsible for delivering high quality, secure and bug free code.

Job Description:

 The person
You must be a great communicator; we need all on our developers to communicate well with others, being able to communicate complex information at all levels is vital.
You an individual who takes a genuine pride in you work. You focus on detail and produce high quality, secure and bug free code.
You have a positive attitude and are keen integrate with the team and to become productive quickly.
You have the ability to quickly identify the difference between the cause of and the effect of a bug and implement the appropriate fix.
As a dedicated, dependable team player you welcome constructive criticism and feedback, you’re keen to learn new skill and you relish a challenge.

Previous start-up experience
Other C based languages especially Python
Key value stores
NoSQL data stores
Linux sysadmin experience
PHP frameworks (Symphony 2, ZF2 etc.)
Commercial experience building Restful APIs
Continuous Delivery
Experience of vagrant, Chef/Ops Works

Candidate Requirements:

First class written and verbal communication skills
You possess an attention to detail that is second to none
A minimum of 5 years commercial experience with PHP and MySQL
A track record producing high quality commercial grade code
Expert diagnosis and bug fixing skills
You’ve worked in a cloud environment (S3, EC2 and load balancing etc.)
Previous experience implementing third party APIs
although this isn’t a designer role you will have very strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript (jQuery/Foundation) experience.
